High Bluff Academy accepts students entering grades 9 through 12 who have some proficiency in English. English language learners with emerging ability can take our sheltered ESL classes for English and History, as well as Speech and Drama to practice their public speaking skills. Extra support and accommodations are provided for all classes until students are able to perform at grade level without assistance. Our small school is the perfect supportive environment for your student to gain confidence in English.
Students may also elect to repeat a grade or to take a 13th year of high school. This is recommended for students who need more time to improve their English before college or for students who want to have an opportunity to raise their Grade Point Averages (GPA) before applying to university.
