Silver medal, 2026 European Physics Olympiad (EuPhO)

High Bluff Academy celebrates the outstanding achievement of our student Alan Xuan, who earned a silver medal representing the United States at the 2026 European Physics Olympiad (EuPhO). Alan advanced through every stage of the highly selective U.S. Physics Olympiad pipeline: beginning with the national F = ma exam, qualifying for the prestigious USAPhO, and excelling on the advanced USAPhO-Plus selection exam. Alan was selected as one of only five students nationwide to join and train with the U.S. National Physics Team at the national camp hosted by AAPT.

At EuPhO, Alan competed in two demanding five-hour exams, one theoretical and one experimental, against top students from across Europe and beyond. His silver medal places him among the strongest young physicists in the world and reflects both his exceptional talent and the dedication he brings to his studies. High Bluff Academy congratulates Alan on this remarkable international achievement.

Roy Tang

Gold at the China U18 nationals and team bronze at the USA Archery Target Nationals

High Bluff Academy is proud to recognize Roy Tang, a competitive recurve archer who has climbed onto national and international results sheets in just four years in the sport. Since taking up archery in 2022, Roy has medaled at youth championships in Asia, placed in the top ten at some of the sport's most storied indoor tournaments in Europe and the United States, and risen to a world ranking of 579th as of March 2025.

Roy gives back to the sport as much as he takes from it: he co-founded UWCSEA Dover's first-ever archery society, volunteered as event staff at the Swiss Open Lausanne 2025, holds Level 1 certification as a professional athlete in China, and is sponsored by MK Archery as a member of its Youth Pro Staff.

Channah Zeitung

17-time world champion in martial arts and working actress

High Bluff Academy proudly recognizes student Channah Zeitung, an accomplished martial artist and working actress whose career began long before high school. By age 12, Channah had already become an 11-time world champion in martial arts, earning national visibility through her third-degree black belt and her appearance on NBC's Little Big Shots. She now holds 17 world titles, and she continues to train and compete, including recent events in Phoenix, while maintaining strong academic performance at HBA.

Channah made her motion picture debut at age 15 as Jolie in the 2023 feature film Natty Knocks. Her professional acting résumé includes roles in several television series: Sophi Begonia on Nickelodeon's Game Shakers, appearances as Cavekid / Poopsie on Danger Force, a guest role on Wonderama, and the lead role of Lily in the short film How to Cry on Command. She is also slated to appear as Kim in the upcoming TV mini-series Helga in America (2025).

Channah's goals moving forward include continuing her martial arts career and expanding her work in film. She has expressed a particular interest in returning to the horror genre, noting that she “loves being scared, or being scary,” and hopes to star in additional movies. High Bluff Academy congratulates Channah on her achievements and looks forward to supporting her continued success in both the arts and athletics.

Francine Carr

Fifth in the world with the U.S. women's eight, 2026 World Rowing Under 19 Championships

High Bluff Academy proudly congratulates Francine Carr, who represented the United States this summer at the 2026 World Rowing Under 19 Championships in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. Rowing out of the San Diego Rowing Club, Francine was named by USRowing to the U.S. Under 19 National Team's women's eight — one of just nine athletes nationwide selected to the team's premier sweep boat, which earned silver at the previous year's championships.

Racing against the world's top junior crews, Francine and her teammates placed fourth in their preliminary race for lanes before powering to a fifth-place finish in the final, crossing the line in 6:39.18 — fifth in the world. A national-team seat takes years of early mornings on the water and a rigorous selection process, and High Bluff Academy could not be prouder of Francine for wearing the stars and stripes on rowing's biggest junior stage.
